LONGITUDE
A series within INHERITANCE, told through place.
I’m starting a new series called LONGITUDE.
Every city I’ve lived in gets one: Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, wherever I end up next. Each piece is anchored in place and time — coordinates, soundtrack, sensory details — and uses that location as a lens to think about distance, belonging, and what we carry.
These are field notes from voluntary exile. They’re about what happens when you remove yourself from the context that shaped you and see what remains.
What did I bring with me that I didn’t know I was carrying? What inheritance shows up even when I’m 8,000+ miles from home? What becomes visible only when I’m standing somewhere that doesn’t recognize me?
First location: Bangkok. LONGITUDE entries will arrive one location at a time, beginning January 27 for paid subscribers.
